1. About us
This website, https://suavesy.co.uk, is operated by Suavesy Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 11094680, with our registered office at 13 Tudor Vale, Dudley, West Midlands, DY3 1TZ, United Kingdom. Our contact details are:
- Email: suavesy@outlook.com
- Address: 13 Tudor Vale, Dudley, West Midlands, DY3 1TZ, United Kingdom
By placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before you buy.
2. Our products
We sell children’s books, currently Hoofer Hamster’s Forest Adventure, a hardback picture book measuring 21.5cm x 21.5cm with 12 double-sided pages (24 story pages in total), written and illustrated by Jake Longshaw. We try to describe and photograph our books as accurately as we can. Colours may look slightly different on your screen.
3. Who can order
We currently sell and deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only. You must be 18 or over to place an order.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are in pounds sterling (£). Delivery within the UK is included in the price shown, so the price you see at checkout is the total you pay. Payment is taken when you place your order through our secure payment providers. We do not see or store your full card details. If you choose to pay in instalments with Clearpay, your agreement is with Clearpay and their terms apply to that payment arrangement.
We take care to display correct prices, but if we find an error in the price of a book you have ordered, we will tell you before dispatching it. You can then choose to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.
5. How your order is accepted
When you place an order, you will receive an email confirming we have received it. This is not acceptance of your order. A contract between us is formed when we email you to confirm that your book has been dispatched. If we cannot accept your order, for example because the book is out of stock, we will tell you and refund any payment taken.
6. Delivery
We deliver to UK addresses only. Please allow 5 to 7 working days for delivery unless we tell you otherwise. If we expect a delay, we will let you know. If we have not delivered your order within 30 days of your order date, you may cancel it and receive a full refund.
The book becomes your responsibility once it is delivered to the address you gave us. Ownership passes to you when we receive full payment. Please check that your delivery address is correct, as we cannot be responsible for orders sent to an incorrect address provided by you.
7. Your right to cancel and return
If you change your mind, you have the right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days, starting the day after your book is delivered. You can tell us by emailing suavesy@outlook.com or by using the cancellation form on our Refund and Returns Policy page. You must then send the book back within 14 days of telling us. You are responsible for the cost of returning it unless it is faulty or not as described. Full details, including how to return a book and how refunds work, are in our Refund and Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Faulty, damaged or incorrect books
We are required to supply books that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If your book arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, please email us at suavesy@outlook.com with your order number and, if possible, a photo. We will cover return postage. If you tell us within 30 days of delivery, you can choose a full refund or a replacement. After that, we will offer a replacement or, where that is not possible, an appropriate refund, in line with your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
9. Our giving-back promise
For every 100 books purchased, we donate 10 books to children who can benefit from them. This is a commitment we make as a business and does not affect your rights as a customer. Returned or refunded orders may be taken into account when we calculate donations.
10. Intellectual property
All text, illustrations, characters (including Hoofer Hamster and his woodland friends), logos and other content on this website and in our books are protected by copyright and belong to Suavesy Limited or Jake Longshaw, or are used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, sell or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission. Personal, non-commercial sharing of a link to our website is welcome.
11. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited, and your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Otherwise, if we fail to follow these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach. We are not responsible for losses that could not have been foreseen, or for any business losses, as we only sell to consumers.
12. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, postal strikes, supplier or printing problems, or technical failures. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as we can, and you may cancel your order for a refund if the delay is significant.
13. Your personal information
We use your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Complaints
If you are unhappy with your order or our service, please email us at suavesy@outlook.com and we will do our best to put it right, usually within 14 days.
15. General
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force on the date you place your order will apply to that order. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
